Mr. Thomas "Coot" Braddy

On June 15, 2010, after 69 years of being on the long and sometimes difficult road of life, our Lord and Savior called Thomas Monique Braddy, Sr., home to park his tired and weary body. With his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Annette S. Braddy, by his bedside, he passed away at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, in Winston-Salem, NC. He will continue on his trip, with our Lord and Savior, where he will join with his Father, Joseph, and brothers, Montana, David, John and Sterling Braddy. In remembrance of him, he leaves behind his mother Mrs. Ethel W. Braddy, sister Dilcy O. Braddy and brother Charles E. Braddy (Elsie) Also in loving memory of him, he leaves his children, Mona L. Braddy, Courtney O. Wharton (David), Thomas M. Braddy, Jr. (Angel),
Adrian L. Sides, Sr. and Vilise T. Sides.He leaves behind nine grandkids, Corban I .Sides, Sarah (Brandi) Sides, Tyshia Gray, Dominique R. Sides, Adrian L. Sides, Jr.,Christian V. Sides, Chelsi J. Hines, Jayla Lewis and Akia Glenn. In addition, he leaves behind six great grandkids, Jaliaha L. Cook, Nyemia D. Sides, Braylon Gray-Hauser, London D. Sides, Jadence D. Sides, and Emory N. Sides.

“Coot” or “Redeye” as many of his friends knew him was born on March 2, 1941 and raised in the Oldtown area of Winston-Salem, NC. If “Coot” wasn’t hunting or fishing, he was hanging out on the “back porch” with one or more his buddies, George Davis, Roland Breeden, Curly Jeffries or Steve Barber. “Uncle T” as he was known to many of his nieces and nephews, will be missed greatly, for his words of wisdom or insights.

Funeral services at 1:00 PM, Friday June 18, 2010 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Family visitation 30 minutes prior to the service. Entombment in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
