Our lovely mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, Yvette Nelson Campbell, 66, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 24, 2023, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by family. Born on August 15, 1956, in Harlem, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles Lee and Elizabeth Nelson Glenn, and the stepdaughter of the late Robert Glenn.

She was a compassionate person with a loving heart who enjoyed spending time with her family and fishing on the lake.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Michael Campbell; her daughters Shaquita Nelson (Corey) of Winston-Salem, NC; Tracy Nelson (Michael) of Fayetteville, NC; Leslie Campbell of Winston-Salem, NC; son Jamal Campbell (Miranda) of San Diego, CA; six grandchildren, Tashema Richards, Shakema Valentine (Lou), Bria Nelson, Sheldon Taylor Jr., Jayla Campbell, Tiana Cohen, Nyomi Head; and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Cherise Taylor (Kevin) of Winston-Salem, NC and brothers Donell Glenn of Winston-Salem, NC and Richard Bell of Winston-Salem, NC.

Public viewing will be from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Friday, July 7, 2023 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:00 AM on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Solid Rock United Bible Way Church. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Piedmont Memorial Gardens, 3663 Piedmont Memorial Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
