Mr. Willis Abner Martin, affectionately called "Brother," unexpectedly passed away at his home on Monday, February 6, 2017.

He was born in Buffalo, NY to Willie Pearce Martin and Patty Cornelia Lash Martin on August 25, 1970.

Brother attended the public schools of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County and graduated from North Forsyth High School in 1989. And he received his early Christian education at Bethania A.M.E. Zion Church.

Mr. Martin was employed as a driller for McKinney Drilling Company for almost ten years.

Survivors include his children, Jashawn Martin Lewis, Joemane McCollough, Diamond and Dallas Martin, Rashawnda Heath, Regina McCollough and Reginald Heath; sisters, Karen Pratchett, Janet (Juan) Cason, Amanda Martin and Toni Lowe; his parents, Willie and Patty Lash Martin; special friends, Antionette Lewis and Tina Heath; 8 aunts; 2 uncles; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and many friends.

A funeral service will take place at Bethania AME Zion Church at 2pm, Saturday, February 11, 2017. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
