September 11, 2917~ November 2, 2016
Mr. Willie Byrd Archie, 99, was born to the late Charlie R. Archie, Sr. and the late Pearl Green Archie in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on September 11, 1917. He attended the local schools of Winston-Salem and was a former member of Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.

The team was originally known as the Old Prince Albert Pond Giants.
Mr. Willie Byrd Archie passed away at his home in Winston-Salem on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Olivia Denise Reid; and his siblings, Evelyn Archie Wright, Charlie Archie, Jr. and Robert L. Archie.
