Mr. William Donnell Carter was born on January 9, 1951 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Zelma C. White. He attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools.

He worked for fifteen years at North Carolina Baptist Hospital and for over 15 years at Lowe's Home Improvement.

Billy loved fishing and was a faithful Pittsburg Steelers fan.

He passed away after a period of illness on August 31, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Earl Lee Carter; aunt, Lucille Slater and cousin, Jacqueline Redd.

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters: Carolyn Carter (James Parker) and Lynette (Danyell) Jordan; son William D. Hill; special nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be private. Mr. Carter may be publicly viewed from 12:00 noon until 5 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home.
