Mrs. Victoria Gentry Slade, affectionately called "Vickie," passed away peacefully at WFU Baptist Medical Center on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry L. Gentry, Sr.; husband, David T. Slade; sister, Betty Gentry; and brother, Harry L. Gentry, Jr. She was born to Hattie R. Gentry and the late Harry L. Gentry in Forsyth County, NC on January 8, 1951. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1968 and completed her commercial education at Rutledge Business College. Her most recent employment was at Forsyth Technical Community College (Mazie S. Woodruff Center). Survivors include her daughters, April D. Slade and Angela S. Joyner; two grandsons; her mother, Hattie R. Spillman; 3 sisters and a brother; several extended family members and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Clark S. Brown and Sons Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 pm on Sunday, February 25, 2018. The family will greet friends thirty minutes prior to the service at the chapel. For a copy of the funeral program, click here
