Theodore Roosevelt
Brannon Sr.
Jun 19, 1950 — Jan 13, 2024
Theodore Roosevelt Brannon, 73, affectionally known as "Ted" of Kernersville, NC, was peacefully called to rest on January 13, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Theodore was born on June 19, 1950 in Winston-Salem, NC to Ed Gaston Brannon and Kathleen Bennett Brannon. He was educated in the Forsyth County School System. After graduating from high school, he briefly served in the military and was honorably discharged. Theodore then pursued his passion for traveling and began his career as a truck driver. Theodore's career as a professional driver reached the milestone of 50 plus years until his health no longer allowed him to drive.
The simple pleasures in life brought joy to Theodore. His hobbies included listening to old-school music and watching Dallas Cowboys football games. Theodore took great pride in his appearance and was well-known for his unique style. Well-dressed and groomed is what made him stand out from the rest. His outgoing personality and zest for life attracted many.
His parents: grandson, Lamonte' Hayden; and brother, Alphonso Brannon, all preceded him in death.
Theodore's love of life did not come to an end with his death. He leaves to cherish his memory: two sons, Theodore R. Brannon, Jr. (Sandra) and Timothy R. Brannon (Sirena); one daughter, Jamaica Williams (Brandon) all of Rock Hill, SC; two sisters, Cassandra Banner and Frances Mitchell; two brothers, Eddie Brannon and Theron Brannon all of Winston-Salem, NC; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM, Friday, January 19, 2024 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 19, 2024 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons. The family will greet friend thirty-minutes prior to service.
