Tamara Williamson Hairston, "Slim", age 64 finished her course and received her wings to heaven on Thursday, October 4, 2022. Tamara was born on June 17, 1958 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to the late Martha Cross and Samuel Williamson.

She began her education in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County System and graduated high school in 1976.

She was a member of Macedonia Worship Center where she served on the Usher Board and participated in many activities. She loved spending time with her family and being in her kitchen.

Tamara is preceded in death by her husband Stanley Hairston; parents; sister, Someria Williamson; and brother, Samuel Williams, Jr.

Tamara leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Tamika Williamson; four grandchildren, Shamika Williamson, Daquane Blackburn, Dashawn Blackburn and Danysha Blackburn; four great-grandchildren, Olivia, Chloe, Noah and Jouree; two sisters, Cynthia William-son and Anna Crawford; one brother, Vincent William-son; her favorite cousin, Denise Green; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Public viewing will be from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 12:00 PM, Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Macedonia Worship Center. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
