Sheleta Lavette Walker (Vette) was born July 29, 1972 to Cynthia O'Neal and Glenn White. On May 27, 2026, God summoned her home to join him in heaven.

Sheleta was a mother of the community, a provider of shelter and cook for many. She always left a stamp on a person's life with her knowledge and wisdom.

She received her diploma from Forsyth Community College. She also earned an Associates Degree in Paralegal Law from Tidewater Technical Community College.

Sheleta started off in the nursing field but after the passing of her mom, she went into another direction. With her hustle and growth mentality, she found a love for developing companies and helping them get started. She then developed her own company, Thomas & Walker Development Firm.

Sheleta was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Kenyare King (Tamika Hickman).

Left to cherish her memories, her children, Rodney Boyd, Jr., JaQuade Walker, Gerick Walker, Ariel Walker, Aryanna Walker, and Faheema Rahman; sisters, Taundra White, Ladonna White, Nekeba White, Wanda O'Neal, and Tiffany McCloud; her beloved grandchildren; her brother, Reginald O'Neal her great aunts, Danita Craft and Rhonda Haider; nieces Imari White and Nala White along, and a host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her best friends Claudine Walls, Cassandra Bennett and Teresa Flake.

Public viewing will be from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service 1:00 PM Friday, June 5, 2026 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons. The Family will greet friends one hour prior to service. Interment in Gardens of Memory.
