Ms. Sharon Yvette King, 66, took flight to her heavenly home on March 2, 2022 at Trellis Palliative Care.

She was born in Winston-Salem, NC on October 16, 1955, to the late Lillie Mae King and Robert Holmes of Los Angeles, CA. She was educated in the Winston-Salem, Forsyth County school system and graduated from West Forsyth High School. Sharon also attended Forsyth Tech and Stanford University.

Sharon was a Veteran of the National Guard. She was employed with the US Postal Service for over 22 years until her health declined.

She was a member of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist for over 50 years where she served faithfully until she moved her membership to Revelations of Faith Church, Inc. in 2015. Sharon shared her gift of singing when she worshiped at both St. Stephen and Revelations of Faith. Her signature song was "You Can Depend on God." She will be remembered for her resilience in the difficult times of life.

Sharon was a loving mother and is survived by: one son, Ricky (Wendy) King, Sr. and a brother, Ralph (Alice) King, Jr. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Brittanie Montgomery (Dural)Wade , Ila Montgomery, and Ricky King Jr.

She will also be missed by a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, devoted friends, and her church families.

Ms. King may be publicly viewed Friday, March 11, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Service will be private.
