Shanae Monique Chaplin, a native of Winston-Salem, NC, was born August 31, 1987 to Tammy Atwater and Eugene Littlejohn. On Thursday, April 3, 2025, she completed her earthly journey and slipped away.

She attended Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and graduated from East Forsyth High School. Although she was a quiet spirit, she was always willing to lend a helping hand. A faithful member of White Rock Baptist Church, she sang with the Youth Choir, served with the Youth Usher Board, and helped lead devotional services with the Youth Praise Team. She also attended Sunday School and was a member of the Girl Scouts. Additionally, she participated in many of the after school programs.

Shanae loved putting puzzles together and delighted in solving word searches. She relished spending time with her girls, her cousins and best friend, Anna. She valued the time she spent traveling with family and cherished the adventures they shared. She was employed with The Quiet Pint Tavern for many years and also worked for Pizza Hut.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clydie S. Chaplin and Willie Chaplin, Sr.; and an aunt, Jessica "Porky" Morgan.

Shanae is survived by two adoring daughters, Chloe Williamson and Bella Williamson; parents, Tammy and Stephen Atwater; brother, Tevin Atwater; uncles, Willie Chaplain, Jr., Eugene Morgan; aunt, Denise Chaplain; nephew, Jyri Atwater; devoted friend, Anna Smith-Hopkins; and a host of great uncles, aunts and cousins.

Public viewing will be held from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service 12:30 PM, Friday, April 11, 2025 at White Rock Baptist Church, 1233 E. 14th Street, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The family will greet friends thirty-minutes prior to service. Interment in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
