Mr. Samuel Lee Young, Jr. "Man" was born on January 12, 1962 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Samuel Lee Young, Sr. and the late Dorothy Louise Young Hernandez. He attended the local public schools and was a graduate of West Forsyth High School, where he played football. Samuel, Jr. attended Pfeifer University and was a retired officer of the NC Department of Corrections, with over 30 years of service. He was founder of Young Investigative Services.

Samuel, Jr. was a member of Agape Faith Church in Clemmons, NC, where he was a musician. He was an avid race fan and spent lots of time with family and friends at race events, especially local races at Bowman Gray Stadium and NASCAR. He was a true "#1 Dallas Cowboy Fan." If the Cowboys lost a game, Samuel, Jr. would not answer his phone. He enjoyed giving gifts and telling jokes. He was always the life of the party.

Mr. Samuel L. Young, Jr. transitioned from this earthly life on Tuesday, July 13, 2021. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Lillie Mae Young. He leaves to mourn his death: his "Moms", Janice L. Barnes Young; four children: Jason S. Love, Sr., Christopher G. Love, Sr., Karen S. Arnett "KK", and Maurice D. Love; sister, Sandra Loretta Young; brother, Jaynard Samuel Barnes (Bria) Young; eleven grandchildren; two nephews and a niece; other family members and many friends. He was so loved and loving and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Young may be publicly viewed on Sunday, July 18,2021 from 1:00 PM ~ 6:00 PM at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service will be private. Interment in Forsyth Memorial Park.
