Samuel Attucks was born on July 23, 1923 to Samuel and Cassie Attucks. He was a lifelong resident of Winston-Salem, NC. Samuel lived a life full of years, 97. The challenges that life gave him made him stronger at the broken places. He was a self-taught and self-educated man. He accepted his lot in life and carved out a

LIFE WORTHY OF LIVING. He worked for a period of time at Goodwill Industries and as a self-employed vendor in downtown Winston-Salem, NC during the glory days of R. J. Reynolds. On Friday, December 18, 2020 Samuel departed his earthly life going home to a healthy body, where there is no more dying, no more tears, no more sorrow, and no more pain. Samuel was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Delores Kemp, Nellie May Boyd and Barbara Attucks; brothers: Nathaniel, David and Eugene. Samuel is survived by one sister, Cora Roberson; two brothers: Clifton and Alphonso; a host of other relatives and friends. Due to COVID-19 restrictions the family will have a service at a later date.
