Ms. Ruth Elizabeth Sherard, 72, passed away peacefully and transitioned into heaven on June 20, 2018. Ruth was born on March 14, 1946 to the late Thaddeus L. Sherard and Veritas Grier Jones in Winston-Salem. Her step-father was the late Ollie T. Jones.

She is survived by her devoted son, Keith O. Sherard, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Keely A. Sherard; grandson, Keith O. Sherard, Jr. "KJ"; aunt, Rudine Grier; uncle, Robert Grier; other relatives, god children and many friends.

A family visitation will be held from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm tonight at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Mount Zion Baptist Church with Dr. Serenus T. Churn, officiating. Family visitation will be one half hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
