Our loving and faithful mother, Ruth Imes, passed away peacefully at Baptist Hospital on May 12, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of profound faith, love, and devotion.

Ruth was born on August 29, 1948 to Frances Flow and John Flow in Yadkin County, North Carolina. She was a woman who truly loved God and lived every single day by deep faith. Her unwavering belief in God guided her through life's journeys and served as a beacon of light for everyone who knew her. She was the cornerstone of our family, instilling values of kindness, resilience, and spiritual devotion in her children, grandchildren and everyone around her. She was known for opening her home for those needing a helping hand.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Frances Flow and John Flow; brother, Bobby Conrad and three grandchildren. She is survived by three siblings: Willie Conrad, Arlene Crump and Cathy Ceasar, five loving children: Elanda Starnes (Darryl), Norman Imes, Kelvin Imes, Elizabeth Imes (Khalid) and Ebony Stewart, 12 cherished grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply but will carry forward her lessons of love and faith.

A public viewing will be held from 12PM until 6PM at Clark S. Brown funeral on Friday, May 22, 2026. Ruth's Celebration of Life services will be held at New Hope AME Zion Church in Lewisville on Saturday, May 23, 2026, visitation will start at 11:00 AM and service at 11:30 AM. The interment will follow in the church cemetery.
