Obituary

Rubenia Dian Richardson, affectionately known as "Beany", age 71 was born December 11, 1952 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Hazel and Robert Lewis Richardson, but reared by her mother, Hazel Cameron and a loving father, Earnest Cameron, Sr. She transitioned from this life on Tuesday morning, November 5, 2024.

"Beany" was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert Lewis Ingram, John Calvin Ingram, Deacon Douglas Wayne Ingram; and a niece, Stacey Ingram Andrews.

She was educated locally in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System and was a graduate of North Forsyth Senior High School. After graduation, she furthered her education at Forsyth Technical Institute. She was a dedicated employee of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and retired after more than 30 years of service.

Her love for shopping for the best fashionable designs was not matched by any other family member. She would tell you what would look good on you and buy it for you. Her second love was cooking and baking those delicious cakes and she had recipes for everything. She loved traveling and probably went to almost all the states, except Alaska and Hawaii. "Beany" could have had her own Book Club, like Oprah. She would choose an author and by the time you finished, you would have read everything that author had published and you had better been ready for the discussion afterwards. She also really loved car racing, motorcycles and the Pittsburg Steelers. Beany lived…

To cherish her memories are her daughter, Kiara Warren; granddaughter, Kyndall Lee; and grandson, Averie Warren, her very heart and soul. Her memories remain with her sisters, Gloria (Mark) Redd, Rita Powell (Harold Thompson), Loretta Elaine (Joseph) Barnes, Earnestine Cameron; brothers, Earnest Cameron Jr., Byron Ingram and Gregory Ingram; nieces and nephews and their families: Markita, Cheryl, Cpt. David (Andria) III, Yolanda (Larry), Jamel, Cherita, Ebony, Kristen, LeRon, Alexis, Karesha, Selena, Robin, Timika, Kenny, Renae, Shedina, Robert Jr., Jerrell, Greg Jr, Dominick, Jeff, Josh, Marcus, and a host of other great nieces and nephews; a special friend, Leatha Jones; a goddaughter, Alysia Jacobs; sister-in-law, Arnita Ingram; and many close family and friends.

There will be no public viewing. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM, Sunday, November 10, 2024 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Family visitation at 1:00 PM.
