Mr. Roosevelt Fredrick Nails, Jr. was born on January 23, 1939 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to the late Roosevelt Fredrick Nails, Sr. and Lillie Mae McClaim. He attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County schools. Roosevelt worked for and retired from Hanes Hosiery. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing. This was an activity where he truly excelled.

On Thursday, December 19, 2019, Mr. Nails passed away. In addition to his parents, Roosevelt Fredrick Nails, Sr. and Lillie Mae McClaim, he was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Latha Sonya Nails-Whitlock; grandchildren: LaChyna and Devin, Jr.; and brother, Marshall Wilburn-Miller.

Roosevelt leaves to cherish his memory; daughters, Linda (Danny) Lewis, Dianna Williams, Selena Artanzia (Carlton) Samuels, and Monyca Mychelle Nails; sons, Freddie Rayvon Nails, Fredrick Darrell Nails, Kenneth Tyrone Nails, and Lamard Defre' Crawford; grandchildren, LaTosha, Ahmad, Nieyma, Chantel, Tawanda, Brittany, Breanna, Rayvon, Sierras, Cieda, Quanika, Lamard, Latika, LaShonda, Corey, Terry, Taneisha, Sauntoya, Fredrick, Justice, Jalisa; and twenty-one great-grandchildren; god-son, Gregory Turnage; god-daughter, Kathy Wardlow; special friends, O'Neal Eldridge and Francis Irby; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 3 p.m.
