Mr. Robert T. Craig was born in Martinsville, VA to the late Governor T. Craig and Beatrice Craig Simmons. He was a graduate of George Washington Carver High School. Mr. Craig retired from Wake Forest University.

Mr. Craig passed away on May 28, 2018 at Heartlands Living and Rehab Center. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ramon Mease. He is survived by his mother; his siblings: Linda B. Jalloh, Katherine (Billy) Alford, Kathleen (Ron) Dawkins, Laura Craig Dendy, Cheri (Christopher) Lineberger, Reginald Craig, William (Teresa) Craig and James Daniel Simmons, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Craig's family will celebrate his life privately.
