Mr. Phillip I. Meadows was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and attended Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Ruby Meadows and brother, Gerald West.

Phillip's greatest joy was being with family and he loved family gatherings. He was an avid Carolina Tarheels fan.

He is survived by two sons Joseph Pauling and Phillip Meadows Jr., two brothers, Tony West (Pam) and Wilbert Meadows, Jr.; two sisters, Rita Meadows and Barbara Meadows-Johnson (Howard); two aunts, Mrs. Alma M. Barber and Mrs. Mary M. Williams; a favorite cousin, "Uncle Ralph Meadows" and his best friend and niece, Tenesia Meadows, along with a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. He is also survived by his special friend, Valerie L. Williams.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, April 7, 2017 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service in the chapel.
