Mr. Perscell Phifer, 60, was born on November 16, 1957 to the late Buford "Speedy" Phifer and Ethel Mae Phifer in Wilson, NC. He was a graduate of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools and a long-time employee of Thruway Shopping Center.

Perscell died peacefully on December 14, 2017 after an extended period of illness.

He leaves to cherish their memorable moments: his only child, Steven Samuels (Alecia); sisters, Betty Phifer (Tyrone) of Winston Salem, Antonia Ford of Wilson, NC; brothers: James Earl Ford (Vickie), William Ford, and Buford Phifer Jr. of Winston Salem, Anthony Ford (Yung) of Kentucky, Wayne Ford of Des Moines, IA ; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

A service in his memory will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
