Patricia Myers Garrett was the second child born to Rev. Royace and Elnora Myers on May 19, 1951. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Royace A. and Bradford Myers. During her elementary school years, Patricia lived in East Bend and attended Yadkin High School, and after moving to Winston-Salem, she attended Atkins High School. Patricia worked as a Manager for Salem Apartments, then worked for several years as a Supervisor with Aramark Custodial Services until her health declined. Patricia loved to cook for and feed her friends and neighbors, and was called "Mama Pat" by both young and old in her community. She had a great sense of humor, and a very sharp memory. She would often say "I don't forget nothing!" She was a babysitter to her siblings, and loved her family. She leaves to cherish her memories three brothers, Michael W. Myers, Russell C. (Alice) Myers, Radford (Patricia) Myers, and one sister, Roslyn (Odell) Jones, all of Winston-Salem, NC, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A special thank you is given to Belinda Parker for being a dear friend and caregiver. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 9, 2019 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
