Otis W. Blyther was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 13, 1955. After a brief illness, Otis departed this life on March 19, 2025 in Winston-Salem, NC.

He attended local community schools and was a graduate of Parkland High School. His employment included positions with Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and Winston-Salem State University.

Otis was a joyful man who enjoyed spending time with family, friends and watching television. He loved watching football and was a Dallas Cowboys fan. Otis lived, worked and shared generously with his family. Because of those close relationships, he will always be remembered for his giving spirit.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Irby Blyther, Jr. and mother, Lucille Williams-Lomax, his brother, Rudy Blyther, and nephew, Raheen Blyther.

Those he leaves to cherish his memory include: his caring sister, Rhonda Blyther, brother, Rickey (Taffney) Blyther, cousin, Annette (Alex) Rockston, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Public viewing will be from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service 11:30 AM, Wednesday, March 26, 2025 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Son Chapel. The family will greet friends thirty-minutes prior to service. Interment in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
