Obituary

Mrs. Nancy Lynch Hillian was born in Ahoskie, NC on September 28, 1941 to the late William Henry Lynch and Mabel Lynch. She entered into eternal rest on March 31, 2026.

Nancy attended Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and graduated from Atkins High School. She also received a certificate and Associate's degree in Engineering from Forsyth Technical Community College. She was employed by Western Electric and retired from Bellsouth after many years of dedicated service.

When her children were growing up, Nancy served as the coach to the majorettes at the Girls and Boys Club in Winston-Salem where she mentored and built lifelong relationships with the parents and the children. She also enjoyed playing softball, traveling with her son, Michael's band, Wheel of Fortune and participating in the Birthday Club. She also loved and being with her church family at Mt. Abel Pentecostal Holiness Church. Most of all, she really enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and sharing a good meal.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry and Mabel Lynch; husband, Calvin Hillian, Sr.; two sons, Randall Hillian and Michael Hillian; and three brothers, William Henry Lynch, Jr., Norfleet Lynch and James Leon Lynch.

She is survived by one daughter, Teresa Phillips; one son, Calvin Hillian, Jr.; one daughter in love, Wanda White; one sister, Gloria Johnson (Dupree); one brother-in-law, Donald Johnson (Beatrice); one sister-in-law, Annie Campbell; 8 grandchildren, Andre Phillips, Antrice Phillip, Kimberly Nails, Brittny Miller, Brendon Hillian, Troy Hillian, Jessica Hillian, and Jasmine Hillian; 14 great-grandchildren; a devoted friend, Juanita Michaels; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Although we loved her and will miss her sweet and kind spirit, God loved her more. But we know that if we are in Christ, we will see her again.
