Our dear "miracle", Michael Ronald Thacker, 61, gained his wings on Monday, July 29, 2019. Ronnie is survived by his loving mother "Queen" Esther Mae Butler. His father, George Olden Gunter, preceded him in death. "Ronnie", as he was known to family and friends, entered this world on February 28, 1958 in Winston-Salem, NC.

He attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools and was a graduate of Parkland Sr. High School, class of 1976. An entrepreneur, he owned and operated Skyline Groceries (formerly Wilson's Groceries). Later he became a supervisor at Douglas Battery until he became ill. Ronnie had a passionate love for cars and sports and a sincere love for his family.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Elbert Thacker, Sr., his uncle, Charles James Gunter "CJ" and his brother-in-law, Fred Wilson.

Those family members who survive and will forever cherish fond memories of him are his wife, Melissa C. Worthen-Thacker; his children: Michaela, Monsherre, Lelundon, Atorian, MeaiHaunist, Latoya, Richard, Ashley and Jennine; seventeen grandchildren; his siblings, Anthony Thacker, Gregory Michael Butler, Sr., Carol Wilson; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
