Mr. Michael Lorenza Smith, the son of Annie L. Mallette and Steven L. McMillian, was born August 31, 1978 in Wilmington, North Carolina. On April 19, 2024, this loving son, father, brother and uncle passed away.

He received his formal education in both Charlotte/Mecklenburg County and Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school systems where participated in school and community activities, especially sports. In his youth, he played Pop Warner football with the WSSU Rams.
