Michael Eugene Brown 35 of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, departed this earth on Saturday, December 9, 2023. He was born on March 30, 1988 to Tyrone Brown and Donna Darden Brown.

He attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth Public Schools and graduated from Mt. Tabor High School in 2006.

Michael was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend.

Michael was an avid longtime flag football player. His nationally ranked team in Ohio was well known all over the US. He has been with a team in Morrisville, NC since his return to the city in March 2023. His athletic ability and joy of play was evident each time he hit the field.

He showed the love of God to everyone he met. He loved to laugh, play Scabble, cards, and board games. He loved to cook and chose cooking as his profession and was a grill cook at Cava of Winston-Salem. Michael loved his family, and you saw and felt the love that he had for his family and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by grandfather, Mr. Ortho Darden, Sr.; brother, Brandon Chambers; aunt, Beverly Simmons; grandparents, Clara Brown and Clarence Brown, Sr.; and numerous other relatives.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory, father, Tyrone (Francoise) Brown; mother, Donna (Joe) Darden; brother, Douglas (Alicia) Darden; grandmother, Coleen M. Darden of the home; aunts, Gloria Brown, Shirley Smith, Opal (Von) Brown, Evette Darden; uncles, Tracy Smith, Clarence (Jennifer) Brown, Stanford Brown, Mike (Lonnetra) Smith, Steve (Yvette) Brown, Ortho (Cindy) Darden, Jr.; special friends, Stephanie Brennan, Tommy Kindred, Dominque Woodruff, Jason Travick, Chauncey Benson, Josh William; and a host of other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
