Mr. Melvin Delewis Dodd, Jr. was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on November 3, 1990 to Monica Thorns and Melvin Delewis Dodd, Sr. On September 24, 2023, he unexpectedly passed away.

He was educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System and attended North Forsyth and RJ Reynolds High Schools. After graduation, he attended Forsyth Technical Community College. Melvin was a welder by trade. He enjoyed cooking, reading, listening to music, lifting weights and watching New York Giants football games.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Delewis Dodd, Sr. and grandmother, Princella Hairston Lash.

Public viewing will be from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral Service at 6:00 PM, Friday, October 6, 2023 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Family visitation will be thirty-minutes prior to service.
