Ms. Maxine Deloris Galloway was born on December 7, 1948 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Harvey V. Galloway and Janie Bell Mack. She passed away on Thursday,

June 23, 2022. Maxine was educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and was a proud graduate of Paisley High School, class of 1967.

Her employment in Winston-Salem, NC included positions with XL Cleaners and A Cleaner World and with Amos and Smith Hosiery Company in King, NC.

Maxine loved being social and especially loved to dance at the Black Velvet Lounge. At other times she played cards and played casino games at the local sweepstakes.

She truly enjoyed life to the fullest.

She is preceded in death by her father, Harvey Vessel Galloway; mother, Janie Bell Mack; and sister, Charline Susan Galloway.

Maxine is survived by one daughter, Yvonne Deloris Galloway; one granddaughter, Anjuli Deloris Galloway;one grandson, Michael Johnson, II; one great granddaughter,

Alexus Galloway; one nephew, Tiko Galloway who was like a son; two nieces, Tomiko Galloway and April Sprinkle; one sister Bobbie Jean Jones; one aunt, Reba Galloway; one uncle Reuben Galloway; and a host of cousins and friends.

A memorial service for Ms. Galloway will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Clark S. Brown and Sons Chapel. *Masks are required.
