Mrs. Mary M. Kyles was born on September 19, 1928 to the late Clifton and Pearlie Abbott Mitchell in Walkertown, NC. She passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019.

Educated in the local public schools, she continued her training and graduated from Winston-Salem Barber School. She excelled at her craft and later became an instructor for Pyramid Barber School. Truly a minority female entrepreneur in the city, Mrs. Kyles was owner and operator of Triad Barber School where she trained many aspiring barbers and entrepreneurs.

As a member of Faith of God Ministries and in the community, she encouraged many and identified resources to help others.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, Frank Kyles; sisters, Frances, Clara, Annetta and Floretta; brothers, Albert, Fred and Norman.

Mrs. Kyles is survived by her four sons: Paul Gambill, Jr., Richard (Glenda) Gambill, Ron Gambill and Thomas Gambill; seven grandchildren; two siblings, a sister, Inez Price and a brother, Hubert (Rosetta) Mitchell; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, former students and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 31, 2019 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC.
