Mary Catherine Blackburn Boles, affectionately known as "Big Mary", was born July 26, 1946. She was called to her heavenly home June 5, 2019.

She attended Carver High School in Winston-Salem, NC and was employed by Rubbermaid in Statesville, NC.

Mary always had a song in her heart and was more than ready to sing at any time. Playing Bingo and calling out her numbers was her favorite pastime.

Proceeding her in death were her father, Willie Miller, and sisters, Margaret Blackburn, Linda Hardy and Karen Crowell.

Left to cherish her memory and legacy are her sons, Keewannie Blackburn, Sr. and Michael Blackburn; grand-son, Keewannie Blackburn, Jr; her mother, Daisy Black-burn; sisters, Vera Blackburn of Hickory, NC, Alice Conrad, Debra Wallace, and Carol Everhart all of Winston-Salem, NC; brothers, Roger Blackburn, Robert Blackburn and Ronald Thomas all of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and friends.
