Marcella Lucynthia Robinson, known affectionally to her family as "Coota", was born to the late Emma Lee and Otis Napoleon Robinson on July 13, 1948 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. On Monday, August 1, 2022, she peacefully passed away.

She attended and participated in activities at S.G. Atkins High School. After high school, Marcella served in the United States Army. She later returned home to take care of all the children in the family.

Following the passing of her sister Emma Lou, she continued her desire to be of service to others by becoming a volunteer with the local Cancer Services organization. When not caring for family and friends, she enjoyed being outdoors, especially being at the beach. Some of her best times were spent simply experiencing the joys of fishing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Emma Lee Robinson and Otis Napoleon Robinson; three sisters, Lee Ethel Cowan, Emma Lou Robinson, and Cathany Jewel Robinson; one nephew, Kevin Lemont Robinson; and one niece, Princess Letrice Parks.

Marcella is survived by two great nieces, Cynthia Brunt and Jewel Robinson; three great nephews, Joshua Howard, Delmario Parks, and Trosean Richardson; a lifetime brother and friend, Travis Burgess; one nephew, Andre Taylor; one niece, Tonyetta Taylor; and an abundance of cousins and family in South Carolina.

There will be no public viewing for Ms. Robinson. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Chapel.
