Mr. Macon Patton Jr, 82, was born January 28, 1937, to the late Macon Patton Sr. and Connie Black Patton. He departed this life Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. Macon was a 1955 graduate of Carver High School and attended St. Augustine College. He served in the United States Army and was employed at Lucent Technology (formerly AT&T) for 30 years.

In addition to his parents Macon was preceded in death by three brothers; Bennie Patton, William Patton and James Patton. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 59 years Norma Miller Patton; two children: Kevin Patton, and Demetrius (Keith) Lundy both of Winston Salem, NC; two grandchildren: Capt. Arthur Lee (Ashley) Blue III of the Fort Humphreys, Korea; Kaleb Lundy of Winston Salem, NC.; and two great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly Wade of West Haven, Connecticut; two brothers: Donald Patton Chesapeake, Virginia and Sidney Patton of Winston Salem, NC; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and devoted friends.

A special thanks to Forest Heights Assisted Living Staff who cared for Mr. Patton through his illness.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm., family visitation at 1:30 pm., Bethania AME Zion Church, 2120 Bethania-Rural Hall Rd Winston-Salem, NC 27106. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
