Obituary

Lynette Yvette Davis, 53, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on November 14, 2025. Born on July 28, 1972, in Buncombe County, NC, she

was the beloved daughter of Patricia Davis and Richard Wright. Lynette was raised in Winston-Salem by her devoted grandparents, Johnny and Beulah Wright, who

played a profound role in shaping the woman she became.

Lynette graduated high school and went on to earn her Associate's Degree in Social Work, a field that reflected her deep compassion for others. She dedicated many

years to the Social Security Administration before choosing to step away to care for her grandfather during his later years—an act of love that spoke to her character and her priorities. It was soon after that Lynette found her true calling as a Personal Care Assistant. She took tremendous pride in caring for her clients, offering them dignity, comfort, and genuine kindness.

Lynette was known for her honesty, vibrant personality, and unmistakable feistiness. She loved her children fiercely and adored her grandchildren even more. Some of her greatest joys were simple moments: listening to music of every genre and relaxing on the front porch, soaking in the fresh North Carolina air. Lynette also had a gift for cooking, and anyone who tasted her famous juicy turkeys, mouthwatering potato salad, or any dessert she crafted knew that food was one of the many ways she expressed love.

Strong both physically and mentally, Lynette faced life with courage and authenticity. She poured unconditional love into her family and taught them the power of living boldly, freely, and unapologetically.

Lynette was preceded in death by her father, Richard Wright, and her grandparents, Johnny and Beulah Wright. She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother Patricia Davis; her sister, Lola Davis-Smith (Antoine Smith); her children Tiffany Davis, Shella Hill (Adam Hill), Beverly Davis, Christopher Davis, John Davis, Lola Davis, and Rasheed Davis; as well as 17 beautiful grandchildren who will carry her legacy forward.

Lynette's life was a testimony of strength, love, and devotion. She will be deeply m issed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
