Mrs. Lou Ella Attucks, 87, passed away at Silas Creek Rehabilitation Center on Monday, August 21, 2017 following a period of illness. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Marshall Staggs and Jessie Attucks; a daughter, Barbara Glenn; and two grandchildren, Karen Ayton and Rodney Staggs. She was born to the late James Stanfield and Eunice Arnold Standfield in Seneca, SC on October 9, 1929. Mrs. Attucks retired from Forsyth Medical Center and she was a long time member of Union Baptist Church. Survivors include he son, Frankie M. (Avis) Staggs; daughter, Doris Shelf; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. A funeral service will take place at 1pm on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Union Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends thirty minutes prior to the service.
