Lloyd Anthony Lee, 53 years old of Rural Hall NC, unexpectedly departed this earthly life on August 14, 2024, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born on March 11, 1971, in Salisbury, Maryland.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Edmond Lee Sr., and is survived by his mother, Barbara Smith Lee of Rural Hall, NC. Anthony, as he was affectionally known, was educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System and graduated from North Forsyth High School in 1990. There he excelled at basketball and swimming.

He was employed as warehouse personnel in Winston-Salem, NC for many years. He loved sports and was a diehard fan of the San Francisco 49ers. He loved to have a good time celebrating with family and friends and he never met a stranger. Anthony had an abundance of life-long friends who were like brothers to him!

Those blessed to have fond memories to forever cherish are: his children, Ayonna Lee, Anthony Lee, and Zymere Benekin, to whom he was a loving father; his mother; his fiancée, Kesha Benekin; two loving and dedicated sisters, Kawanis (Anthony) Whitley and Caprina (Murray) Calaway; one brother, James Elmond (Audrey) Lee Jr. all of Winston-Salem NC; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He will be remembered for his kindness, his unwavering love and his ability to bring light into the lives of those who knew him. He will also be remembered for his unwavering commitment to family and his ability to bring out the best and every-one around him. Anthony's legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Funeral service for Mr. Lloyd Anthony Lee will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 12PM~1PM. There will be public viewing today from 12PM~6PM at the funeral home.
