Ms. Lena Catherine Brown, 100, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on Thursday, June 15, 2017. She was born to the late Sink and Pearl Sprinkle Brown in Davie County, North Carolina on March 2, 1917. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Charlie, Sam, Joe and Clifton Brown; and two sisters, Beulah Imes and Flora Miller. The Centenarian's feisty spirit and sense of humor will forever be cherished by her sister, Eva B. Hairston; ten nieces, including her dedicated caregiver, Debra Holmes, Clara Pate, Annie (Larry) Campbell, Shirley Spencer, Minnie Brown, Brenda (William) Peay, Carolyn (Fred) Valentine, Argie Wortham, Mae Corey and Jeannie (Samuel) Couthen; three nephews, Roy Imes, Charlie (Yvonne) Imes and James E. Brown; first cousin, Albert Brown; several great nieces and nephews; extended family members and friends. A Celebration of Life will take place at 11 am, Friday, June 23, 2017 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
