Lawrence Turner Bridget age 59, better known as "Larry", was born May 19, 1961 in Plainfield, NJ.

He resided in Newark, NJ for many years where he attended Newark public schools and graduated from Weequahic High School. Larry lived in Irvington, NJ prior to relocating to Winston-Salem, NC.

A very active member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church for many years, Larry received Christ as his Savior at a young age and sang with the choir. He loved the Lord, his family and his dog Blonde.

Larry was a smart student who was always striving to do better. He studied computer programming at Essex County College in Newark, NJ and received his Associate degree. He continued his education and studied Mass Communication at Winston-Salem State University where he received his Bachelor degree.

He taught in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school system for a short time. He enjoyed helping people and was also a caregiver committed to his clients. Larry loved family gatherings. He had a great sense of humor. Every time you saw him, he made you laugh.

Larry was preceded in death by his brother Milton Bridget.

He leaves to cherish precious memories his mother, Annie Bridget of Windsor Mill, MD; siblings, Elvin Charles Bridget of Newark, NJ, Andre Hagood of Montclair, NJ, Christopher Hagood of Miami, FL, Phyllis Hagood of Windsor Mill, MD; two stepsisters, Anne Marie Ray of Burlington, NJ and Robin Knight of Portsmouth, VA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A private memorial service will be held.
