On October 7, 2025, early in the morning, Kerry Lee Carpenter, 78, went home to be with the Lord he served so faithfully. We believe that God came to him as said… "Well done my good and faithful servant," come home Kurt (as he was lovingly known) and he replied …. "I am ready Lord."

Kerry was born on April 28,1947, to Helen M. Carpenter-Robinson and Casey Jones in Forsyth County, N.C. He attended Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools. He later went on to Pepsi Cola for employment, before moving on to R.J. Reynolds where he worked until retirement. He loved golf and fishing. He loved to sing and dance. He loved to go to church and praise God.

He was preceded in eternity by his grandmother, Mattie Carpenter, his grandfather Dayton Carpenter, his father Casey Jones, his mother Helen Robinson, his brother Casey W. Carpenter, a nephew Anthony Carpenter and stepfather, Isaiah Robinson.

Kerry leaves to cherish his memory, his triplets, Michael, Monty & Michelle Dover, all in this city, three brothers, Richard Carpenter (Cynthia) of Detroit, Mi., Larry E. Jones (Carolyn), Timothy E. Jones (Veronica) of the city, and one sister, Sequella D. Robinson of the city. He also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces, and nephews, great- great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends to mourn his lost.

Kerry was a kind, humble, loving person. He loved to show love to all he met with a beautiful big smile and a loving embrace.

If love were a person, its name would be "Kurt Lee."

Public viewing will be from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Clark S. Brown &Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends thirty-minutes prior to service. Interment in Piedmont Memorial Gardens, 3663 Piedmont Memorial Drive, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, 27107.

The family will meet at 4:30 PM to fellowship at Golden Corral, located at 180 Hanes Mall Cir., Winston Salem, North Carolina 27103.
