Obituary

Kenneth Arnold Thompson, affectionately known as "Ken," was born August 23, 1974, to Arnold Thompson and Lue Ann Tucker in Winston-Salem, NC. Kenneth made his transition on December 3, 2024, surrounded by family and friends.

Ken attended North Forsyth High School in Winston-Salem, NC. After high school he decided to attend Winston-Salem Barber School. Ken had a fulfilling 30-year career as a Master Barber. His dedication and pride in his craft was unmatched. Being able to share his love of knowledge, music and tasty food with his clients was the highlight of his day. Ken's ability to actively listen and provide sound advice warmed the heart and became a trademark that attracted clients and friends.

During family time, Ken enjoyed cooking and loved to share his favorite dish, "Shrimp n Grits." Ken randomly enjoyed taking a ride on his motorcycle. His topic of conversation would often revolve around riding motorcycles and his love of cars. While riding, Ken was known to wear shades and hats supporting various teams. To know Ken was to know a kind, gentle, loving man who was principled and disciplined. Ken was firm and stood strong on principles while simultaneously providing friends the support needed for their life journey.

Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Lue Ann Tucker; his aunt, Margaret Tucker Johnson (George); and his uncles, James Leander Tucker, and Lemuel Morris (Ernestine).

He leaves to cherish his legacy a loving and devoted wife, Stephanie Thompson; children, Kenneth Thompson, Jr., Alexis Thompson; bonus children, Chelsea Hairston, C 'Nia Hairston; a Goddaughter, Kayli Cook; his father, Arnold Ezell Thompson; mother-in-law, Barbara Martin (Reginald); siblings, Monica Thompson, Elder Dr. David Thompson 33, Pastor Ronald A.
