Kenneth Raymond Rice, 76 of Winston-Salem, NC passed away July 18, 2023 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born April 28, 1947 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Paul and Mamie Rice.

Kenneth was a graduate of John W. Paisley High School. He served in and was honorably discharged from the United States Army. He retired from Old Salem Museums & Gardens after 25 years of employment.

He was a pleasant listener and a man of loyalty, integrity, opinion, and strength. Kenneth was also a devoted Carolina Panther and Wake Forest Demon Deacon football fan.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Pauline Rice Caldwell and Revia Rice McNebb; three brothers, Calvanor, Alvin, and Ellis Rice; and step-son Timothy Ford.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include the light of his life, wife of 16 years, Mary Rice of the home; one sister, Rosa Rice; one brother, David Rice; brothers-in law, Jerry and Earnest Floyd; sister-in law, Brenda (Delton) Leggett; step-daughter, Roslyn Ford; step-sons Christopher Ford (Sylvia) and Wayne Ford (Janae); and a host of step-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.

Public viewing will be from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 4129 Northampton Drive, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, 27105. The family will greet friends thirty-minutes prior to service. Interment in Salisbury National Cemetery.
