Mr. Kenneth Dennard Gordon was born on March 30, 1952 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late James Odell Gordon and Dorothy Lucille Moore Gordon. Kenneth attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools. He served honorably in the US Navy during the Vietnam War era from 1971 until 1975. Kenneth loved spending time watching NASCAR and western movies. He had previously been employed as a floor care technician. He passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2019, after a period of ill-ness. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Julia Gordon Burris and maternal grandmother, Geneva Moore. Left to cherish his memory are his mother: Dorothy Lucille Gordon; son, Kenneth McGrath; siblings: Beverly Reed, Edward Gordon, Jerry Gordon, Janet Driskell, Angela Gordon, James Palmer (Betty) Gilmore, Lillian Gilmore and Mary Frances Hayes; a host of nieces and nephews; a devoted cousin, Hattie Mae Gordon and a special friend, Clem Andrews. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, April 20, 2019 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
