Miss Karla Lynette Payne was born in Forsyth County, NC on June 17, 1961 to the late Martha Hart Payne and Charlie L. Payne. Karla attended the local schools and was a graduate of East Forsyth Senior High School. She continued her education by attending NC A&T State University. Karla was employed by Access Staffing Service until her health declined.

Karla attended Center Grove AME Zion Church in Tobaccoville, NC with her parents until her illness in November, 2015.

Karla passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Meridian Center in High Point, NC. She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha H. Payne.

Karla is survived by he rather, Charlie L. Payne; sister, Janice Payne; two nieces, Nihya (Clark) Russell and Taylor Payne; a great nephew, Cameron Payne of Norfolk, Va; an aunt, Mary Frances Payne of Tobaccoville; cousins who were more like siblings: Bobby Lee Perry, Jr. and Cheryl Perry-Jones; special friend who was also her nurse at the Meridian Center, Carolyn McKinney; other cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Center Grove AME Zion Church. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment in church cemetery.
