Mrs. Karen Smith Dendy was born on July 10,1967 in Winston Salem to Willie Lee Smith Sr. and Flora Brown Smith. She gained her heavenly wings to be with the lord on January 26, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Karen graduated from Robert B Glenn High School 1986. She later graduated from Living Arts in 2012 where she received her CNA and worked in the medical field. In her early life she became a member of Union Baptist Church Winston Salem where she attended the remainder of her adult life.

Karen enjoyed going to the beach and being with her family and friends. She also enjoyed having fun and making memories. Karen will be truly missed by family and friends for the love she gave them.

She was preceded in death by her mother Flora Brown Smith; brother Willie Smith, Jr.; father-in-law Leroy Dendy, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Tony Dendy of the home; one son, Calvin Price; her father, Willie Smith, Sr.; five sisters Arvanetes (Randy) Jordan, Florenia Smith, Mina (Edwin) Johnson, Gila Tillery, Cynthia Thompson; her mother-in-law, Dorthy Dendy; two sisters in law Telfer Smith, and Robin (Alexander) Harrington; three brothers in law Leroy Dendy Jr, Donald (Tawanna) Dendy, and Bobby Dendy. A devoted friend Pamlea Caldwell and Hairdresser Jamill Fowler who she cared deeply for. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
