Mrs. Juanita Harris Dover, 90, was born on April 16, 1928 in Winston-Salem to the late John Harris and Mattie Bell Harris. She passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 at The Danby House. She attended the local schools and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Mrs. Dover loved spending time with her family and they loved her fabulous meals. In addition to caring for her family, Mrs. Dover spent many years cooking for the children at First Baptist Church Day Care on Highland Avenue. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dover was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Adam Dover, Sr.; her daughter, Barbara Dover; son, Dr. Ernest A. Dover, Jr.; her twin sister, Cuanita Harris and sister, Margaret Keaton; and brother, John Harris, Jr. She is survived by her children: Michelle (Melvin) Richardson, Mary Elizabeth (Curtis) Pelter, Shirley (Samuel) Smith of Williamstown, NJ and Kirk Dover; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Willie Mae Thomas of Cleveland, OH; daughter-in-law, Linda Dover of Texas; special friend, Sandra Clark; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at New Bethel Baptist Church. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will be in Salisbury National Cemetery.
