Josie Jean Kimbrough, daughter of Ruby and Charlie Champion was born November 16, 1964 in Winston-Salem, NC. She peacefully departed this life on Sunday, June 19, 2022.

Josie attended the local public schools and was a graduate of North Forsyth High School. She later attended Forsyth Technical College and Winston-Salem Cosmetology School. During her teenage years, she united with the Shiloh Baptist Church.

Josie was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Eleana Smoot; and two brothers, Dolphus Kimbrough and Cleo Kimbrough.

She leaves to cherish most precious memories, her devoted son, Jerome Aaron Lindsay; three sisters, Shirley (Harold) Marcus, Joycelyn Crosby, and Yvonnia (Bernard) Martin; two brothers, Donnell Kimbrough and Dennis Kimbrough; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Ms. Kimbrough will be publicly viewed on Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Clark S. Brown and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 27, 2022 at Clark S. Brown and Sons Funeral Chapel. Family visitation thirty minutes prior. Interment Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
