Mr. Joshua Nathaniel Martin, a native of Winston-Salem, NC was born July 28, 1990 to Gregory Burns and Amanda Martin. He has two siblings, Ebony Martin and Katrice Jackson. He was called home on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

Joshua was a man who truly embraced life. He was a graduate of North Forsyth High School class of 2009.

He was employed at Food Lion for 7 years. Joshua was currently employed with United Parcel Service of America, Inc. in Greensboro, NC for 13 years as a shipping warehouse transporter.

Joshua was a member of Bethania A.M.E. Zion Church since he was a young child and as an adult, he served in many areas. He served as a trustee and was willing to help wherever he could.

Joshua was a lover of food and enjoyed grilling when the church had outdoor activities

Joshua met the love of his life, Tiffany Mock and enjoyed 17 years together. They were blessed to have two beautiful daughters, Bailey Nicole Mock (13 years old) and Bella Michelle Mock (5 years old). Joshua cherished his family, including Nicole (Jason) Brandon, and Brittney. He loved all the Mock family and a bonus dad, Alfred Butterfield whom he adored.

Joshua left a warm impression on all who knew him. He has a lovable personality. He was always smiling and a true comedian. Joshua and his sister Ebony were two peas in a pot. He was a father figure to her and she will miss his presence in her life.

Joshua was preceded in death by his father, Greg Burns; sister, Nichole Martin; paternal grandfather, Walter Burns; maternal grandparents, Willie and Patty Martin; an aunt, Rogina Burns; uncles, Victor Lowe, Sr. and Willis Martin.

He is survived by his loving mother, Amanda Martin; sisters, Ebony Martin and Katrice Jackson; his true love, Tiffany Mock; two daughters, Bailey and Bella Mock; paternal grandmother, Margaret Burns; aunts, Karen Prachett, Janet (Juan) Cason, Rev. Dr. Toni (Robert) Graves and Katrina Burns Wheeler; great-aunts, Mattie Marshall and Willie Lash; cousins, Jerome, Randy, Jayshawn, Jenae, Cherie, Paul, Diamond, Dallas, Joemane, Gina, Shonda and Reggie; life-long friend, Corey Eldridge; "friend to the end", Keana Mock; "count on budy", Arthur McAdoo; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Monday, April 28, 2025 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Bethania AME Zion Church, 2120 Bethania-Rural Hall Road, Winston-Salem, North Carolina 27106. The family will greet friends thirty-minutes prior to service. Interment in Bethania AME Zion Church Cemetery.
