Obituary

Mr. Jermaine Lamar Shore answered the call to eternal rest early Saturday morning, November 29, 2025, at Novant Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

Jermaine was born on April 7, 1974, in Winston-Salem to Timothy M. Wellman and Jessie V. Devose. He was a proud graduate of Carver High School. Throughout his life he worked faithfully at Haywood Incorporation, Classic Packaging Company and Caterpillar in Winston-Salem, until his health began to decline.

Known for his quiet, private nature, Jermaine found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time with children, and sharing early-morning conversations with his closest friends. He enjoyed watching basketball, football and especially his Chicago Bears. Watching Judge Judy, Storage Wars, and playing dominoes on his phone were among his favorites. Jermaine had a gift for making others laugh and a heart big enough to hold everyone he cared about. Family meant everything to him, and he especially cherished the time he spent with his devoted fiancée, Chateua. Later in life, as a part of his walk of faith, he joined Phillips Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Effie Pearl Brown and Della Gray Wellman, and his grandfather, Cornell Webb.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his son, Cinard Keyez Floyd; ; his mother, Jessie V. Devose; his father, Timothy M.Wellman (Desmalean); his loving and devoted fiancée, Chateua Lavette Smith; her granddaughter, Zaniya Smith, amongother grandchildren; brothers, Tommy Shore Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC; Pittwah Wellman of Knoxville, TN; and devotedbrother, Larry Carlson Jr. of Fort Worth, TX; sister, DesireeWellman of Asheboro, NC; stepsisters, Takethia Branch of Atlanta, GA, and Tiana Williams of Richmond Hill, GA; step-brother, Derrick Williams of Colorado Springs, CO; and a hostof nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
