Obituary

Our beloved son, Jayden Amir Flythe was born September 5, 2021, in Charlotte, NC to JaRon and Tontesia Flythe. He attended La Petite Academy in Kernersville, NC from infancy until the age of three where he was adored by his teachers and classmates. He was later enrolled into Pre-K at Smith Farm Elementary but was unable to continue due to the progression of his condition.

Jayden was truly an amazing child who never met a stranger. His beautiful smile, his comedic humor, and gentle spirit are just a few things about him that made everyone love him.

A boy through and through Jayden loved all things, Marvel. Specifically, The Incredible Hulk and Spider-Man. He enjoyed watching Spidey and Friends and action figure fighting with his dad. During battles Jayden was always The Incredible Hulk and his dad was Bane. This makes perfect sense because he was undoubtedly our family's superhero and just like The Incredible Hulk he displayed limitless strength during his battle with cancer.

Jayden was a VERY bright kid who amazed us with his ability to remember anything and everything. He would often sing songs from one of his favorite movies, Sing, and quote lines from his other favorite movie Pets. He also used this ability to learn his letters, sounds, and numerals all before turning three.

Jayden's love of building with Magna Tiles was something that he shared with his sister, Ariya; his love of Toca Boca was something he shared with his sister, Kamryn and his love of shopping for toys was something he shared with his mom. He couldn't resist a trip to Wal-Mart or Target to visit the toy aisle.

Jayden was mighty and strong, resilient, and oh so handsome! In only 5 years, he filled our lives with love, laughter and unforgettable memories to cherish. We will forever carry the love we have for him in our hearts.

He gained his heavenly wings on October 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of his parents after a courageous fight with DIPG.

He is remembered with love by his parents, JaRon and Tontesia Flythe; his sisters Kamryn Thompson and Ariya Flythe; grandparents, Anita Gaston of Charlotte, NC, Alfred Thompson of Charlotte, NC, Paula Wright (Charles)of Moyock, NC, and Kenneth Flythe (Gina) of Evans, GA; aunts, Morgan Wright of Moyock, NC, Kendall Flythe of Evans, GA and Kameryn Flythe of Evans, GA; uncles, Lerone Kennedy (Lacandra) of Charlotte, NC and Kenneth Flythe Jr. of Evans, GA; great aunts and uncles; and a host of cousins and extended family.

Funeral services for Jayden will be held at 12 Noon, Friday, October 23, 2026 at New Bethel Baptist Church, 1116 Montelieu Avenue, High Point, NC 27262. The family will greet friends from 11:30 AM until the funeral hour. Interment will be in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
