Obituary

Mr. Gregory Allen Phillips, 68, departed this life on Thursday, April 23, 2026. He was born on November 20, 1957 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina (Forsyth County).

Gregory was a man of strength, talent, and determination. He attended North Forsyth High School, where he began building the foundation for a life marked by hard work and perseverance. Through his skills and dedication in construction, he began an entrepreneur and successfully started his own construction company. His work ethic and vision allowed his business to flourish leaving a legacy of excellence and self-reliance.

Beyond his career, Gregory had a deep love for music. He was a gifted bass guitarist and proudly played in the band Front Page, where he shared his passion and talent with others. Later in life, he retired from Industry for the Blind.

Gregory was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Phillips; his father, Joseph Phillips; and his brothers, Michael Phillips, Doni Phillips, and David Phillips.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Teresa Phillips; his devoted children, Andre Phillips and Antrice Phillips; his sisters, Carolyn Morgan, Donna Davis, and Jacquelyn Phillips; eight beloved grandchildren; a special nephew, Todd Finney; a special niece, Joi Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Gregory fought the good fight, finished his race, and kept the faith. We take comfort in knowing that if we are in Christ, we shall see him again.

His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
