Gerald David Tuffin, III was the second of four children gifted to the union of the late Gerald David Tuffin, Jr., and Louyse Pickel Tuffin. Born on May 28, 1951, in Charleston, WV, Gerald was a dutiful son who admired his father and aimed to honor his parents. Gerry's personality and strong resolve made him the perfect first born son, given to protect and nurture those around him.

He was a beloved blues man throughout the state.

Gerry was a helper to all who needed him. If you had a doctor's appointment and needed a ride, he was there. If you needed something fixed he was there. If you needed food, he'd bring it to you or take you to get it. No need was too great, place was too far, no request was too hard. If you needed Gerry, he was right there. Even as his own health began to fail him, he pushed past his own needs to meet the needs of others.

Visitation and a brief Memorial will be held on Thursday, July 30th, 11 AM at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home, 727 N. Patterson Avenue at Martin Luther King Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
